A lovely older style Pendant studded with Amber Cabochons. The Silver, which is fairly substantial, has been oxidised between the stones to give an empowering and Authentic looking Medieval or Gothic Warrior feel.
Although I always see Amber as representing the masculine Sun, it is a product of feminine nature and connects the Wisdom of Ancient Trees with the world of Gemstones.
For example, amongst Vikings Amber was believed to be the tears of Freya, their Goddess of Love and Beauty.
Baltic Amber was formed formed during the Eocene period, approx 44 million years ago, from the copious sap of now extinct Trees. This durable gemstone is soft, warm and natural to the touch. Amber has been prized throughout History for bringing luck, enlightenment and healing, traditionally for the lungs.
Dominican Amber is equally Ancient and precious, whilst Copal is relatively recent and not regarded as Precious Amber.
